NCRA CONDUCTS A TWO-DAY TRAINING OF DISTRICT STAFF AND CENTER COORDINATORS ON THE PROCEDURES OF THE UPCOMING CONFIRMATION AND REGISTRATION EXERCISE.

(NCRA, Freetown, Thursday 29 April 2021) – The National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) has concluded a two-day training of its District staff of both Western Urban and Rural and Center Coordinators on the procedures and processes of the upcoming confirmation of personal details of registrants and continuous registration of the unregistered population resident in Sierra Leone.

The two-day training took place at the Grassroots Gender Empowerment Movement Center, on John Street, Freetown and at the Lawrence Gorvie Memorial Secondary School Hall, Waterloo, respectively.

The training which was anchored on the procedures and processes of the exercise, Form Filling, the use of the VIU 820 and Software package of the exercise was basically to capacitate the NCRA district staff and Center Coordinators who in turn will be responsible for the cascading of these trainings to the lower levels, that is the training of the field confirmation and registration workforce in the Western Urban and Rural Districts of Freetown.

The training on the procedures and processes of Confirmation and Registration exercise at Waterloo, Western Rural was facilitated by the following NCRA staff: Roselyn Massaquoi, Training and Capacity Building Manager who doubles as the lead facilitator, Christian C. Dawui, Abdul Malik Bangura and Chrispin John; and Mohamed Deen and Sallieu Janneh facilitated the training on VIU 820 and software package, whilst the Western Urban training on the procedural of the exercise was done by: Haakawa Moseray, Augustus Davies, Mary K. Gbassa, Agnes E. King and Harry Kallon and Robert Konuwa facilitated the technical aspect of the training.
